Hope you had a great time ringing in 2017 OR were sound asleep like us!!!   It was a gorgeous morning to kick off the New Year in St. Augustine.    We walked downtown (1.1 miles)
for 9:00 Mass at the Cathedral of St. Augustine with the Bishop saying Mass and then to Theo's for breakfast (excellent)!

Back to the boat and underway by 11:35.    We cruised 54.6 miles today and tonight we're at the Halifax Marina in Daytona Beach.    My Aunt Dee lives here and we were so hoping to get together, but she has had some health issues over Christmas, including a 3-day hospital stay, so....not this time!     She and we are bummed, but just praying for her to be all better again.    At 88, she is such an inspiration about exercise and staying active!

Yesterday and today we passed "Daisy" - 1st "boat" we've seen by that name.    Had a nice chat with the owner from Marathon, FL and told him our Daisy story.

I washed down the boat and Mark got all his logistics logged in for the day.    Good to be back in Florida and the warm sunshine.   Lots of boaters out today - Sunday/holiday/good weather....
the water is the place to be!

We walked to the Chart House (love these restaurants) and had another wonderful meal topped off with Mark's favorite...

chocolate lava cake

We are staying here in Daytona 2 nights - tomorrow, we're renting a car and driving to Lakeland to see my brother Ron and Vicki and  our nephew, Matt and family visiting from Australia.
