Saturday - March 4

Bright sunny skies and windy when we left Sunset Bay and Stuart at 9 AM.    The winds really picked up as we continued on north    Today we had a leisurely cruise (water was a little choppy but not too bad) of 44 miles.

We are at the Vero Beach Municipal Marina for one night!

Went for a bike ride (not fun ridding into the wind, but much better coming back).     We rode on A-1A and then along Ocean Drive and the beach.    Rode thru downtown - beautiful with nice shops including a big Kemp's Shoe salon (just like in Stuart at Sewell's Point).

Vero Beach
Red flag was flying - no swimming today as danger of undertow

As we were passing Jensen Beach today, we came upon all these small sailboats out on this blustery day.   Mark checked online and it was a race with 291 participants.

Annette and Luke are visiting Anne, Patrick, Liam and  Connor today and staying overnight.
Cousins enjoying an ice cream treat

We did facetime with these 3 monkeys tonight and their Moms.    Annette and Luke are on a little road trip visiting family and friends thru Tuesday in Bloomington, Springfield, St. Louis and Peoria.   Maeve is with her other G and G.

We had nachos for supper, played some 2-handed euchre and 2-handed spades!
Mark was the big winner!

Tomorrow friends from Bloomington, Tom and Mary Carol are picking us up for Mass and then out to breakfast.   Looking forward to catching up with them!
