TUESDAY - Today was so much fun with long-time friends spending the day together in Naples! We left Catrina around 8:45 and drove to Home Depot where Mark exchanged something and shopped. Met Steve, Connie, Sue and Jerry and we all piled into Steve's car round 9:45 and headed to Sharon and Harry's condo in south Naples.
Sharon and Harry are spending February/March at Falling Waters - their condo is lovely. We made a plan and off we girls went with Sharon driving to downtown Naples where we strolled Fifth Avenue. It was a beautiful day and we started it all with lunch at South Avenue (new place, new waiter, Alex who was so sweet and excellent salads)!
And then had lots of fun at Chico's and other neat shops, taking a 1-hour break at Starbucks, little more browsing and then met the guys at Tommy Bahama's - oh, what a beautiful place to sit outdoors and have fabulous drinks and food in such a pretty setting with flowers, greenery and tiny white lights on the trees!
So, while we gals were boosting the economy, the guys took the trolley ride (2 hours), learning all about Naples history, interesting facts about which celebrities live here and there and so much more. They loved it!!! They had lunch (great tenderloins) at Alice Sweetwater's.
A very enjoyable day in this lovely city with our old bridge friends.....what a treat and BIG thanks to Sharon and Harry for planning it all!

WEDNESDAY - a very busy day for our last hurrah in Fort Myers. Mark had a big boat project he completed successfully....Catrina got a pump out, a diver came to clean her bottom and I gave her a scrubbing this afternoon.
We also went to noon Mass at St. Francis Xavier for Ash Wednesday and I did 2 loads of laundry. Got the bikes strapped down and things tidied up inside Catrina ready for take off tomorrow around 8ish.
Wow...sorry to leave the Edison/Ford Marina, our home for the past month. It's been a great location with wonderful friendly staff and enjoyed many yummy meals at Pinchers, long walks and bike rides. AND all our family and friends we had the pleasure of spending fun times with!
Tonight was so much fun with John and Beth at the Gatlin show....oh my, we laughed and cried and clapped and sang along with these great entertainers + the extra treat of Gary (former member of he Vogues in the mid 80's) who was in the audience and sang "Unchained Melody", "Five O'clock World" and Lonely Girl". Gary and Darryl also sang a duet of
"You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling"! Outstanding!!!!! SOOO much fun!
Mark, Pat, Beth, John
John and Beth are keeping "Toad" at an empty carport in their condo complex until we come back to Fort Myers in a few weeks. They brought us home and we said our good byes with hugs and the nice warm feeling that we'll get together again soon!
