Monday - June 11

Hello from Watkins Glen - we arrived here at 1:40 this afternoon after cruising 42 miles from Seneca Falls and going thru 1 lock (had to wait about 20 minutes for a large barge).   It's been a glorious day - deep blue skies and 75 degrees.

Cruised past the ole knitting mill

We are at the Village Marina and after getting Catrina all tied down (our first night in a regular marina), I walked (limped) downtown.    Just a short jaunt and remembered from last September when we were here by car, what a neat town this is!

The obligatory coffee shop, ice cream place along with shops and restaurants.    The restaurant here at the marina (Village Bar and Grille) was a great choice for supper tonight - sat outside on this picture-perfect evening!

I did get a response from someone at the orthopedic office today (not Brian).    Weather is definitely a factor in dealing with original or replaced hips/knees/etc.    I responded that the weather has much improved but still having the pain?    Brian was to be in the office this afternoon, but have not heard from him?

My new walking stick....Mark rode his bike (.5 mile) to Wal Mart and got me this collapsible cane to help with the walking.   It is s l o w going, but think it will help and take some pressure off the left hip.
