Wednesday - December 4

Whew….what a day!    We were up at 4:15 and left the house at 4:45 with Philip taking us to the airport.   He had to be at work at 6 and our flight was at 8:30, but no problem hanging out people watching, reading, having breakfast, etc.
As we were sitting in the terminal and looking out at the sunshine and palm trees, we wondered why we were leaving this for the cold and snow coming to IL.
Good flight to O’Hare, but then landed in fog and rain.   Ugleeee!    We had about 2.5 hours till our bus was leaving, so glad we could meet Annette’s Mom, Judy.   She was waiting for 12:50 flight to New York to see her Mom who is very ill.   I sure feel for her and all that’s ahead, but glad she’ll be there along with her 2 sisters.   We had lunch together, yakked away and walked around till time for her to board the plane.    Goodbye hugs and off we went to meet Michael who had just landed from Charlotte.   Walked to his terminal and had a brief visit (it was getting closer to bus departure) but great to see him!
Stepped outside to board the bus on this dreary,, foggy, rainy day and read and napped along the way.    It’s 57 degrees but that’s going to change big time the next few days…
We arrived home at 5.....ordered some good Italian food and glad to be indoors this icky poo night!

Gee....one week ago tonight we were all together in NC - how quickly this week flew by!

Evening Pat: Dreary here today too, but warm. Rain is coming and the temp tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70's and again on Friday. Big time change for the weekend with highs only in the low 40's. Mother Nature just cannot make up her mind which can be so bad planning things this time of the year. Guess we will just have to go with the flow and take it day by day.

So sorry about Shmoo's Mom. I had an email from her right before Thanksgiving. She said her Mom was very sick again and probably would not make it much longer. Of course, she also said that she had done an about face a couple of times, but thought this time it was for real. So glad she decided to go to New York to be with her family.

Just wanted to let you know that Bob and I have been enjoying the Portugal truffles this week. They are soooo good and as you say DELISH. They are ust the right size to have a little taste of a truffle and not overpower you. Sometimes truffles can do that.

Glad you had a good trip back to Illinois even if it is going to be YUCKY soon and was not even a good day to arrive.

Have a good weekend and don't let the weather be a problem.

Love, Judy
