Thursday - Deember 5

Cold, dreary and windy today...we exercised, got the laundry started,  then a much-needed haircut for me and ran some errands - buuurrrrr!    Was glad to get back home and hibernate!   All this weather coming to the south and heading east sounds ominous - ice, snow, cold....and snow coming for us on Sunday (better not interfere with the Monday Night Friends Christmas brunch)???

Last night when we got home enjoyed all the pretty decorations and lights on our street and around town.    Our house is going to be pretty blah this year and I'm such a fanatic when it comes to Christmas!    Since we're not going to be here and what goes up, must come down, doing very minimal.   Or so I said, but today I got out a "few" things that were easily accessible without hauling all the boxes and bins out!    A little tree here and there, a candle or two, wreath on the door, Christmas dishes, wine glasses, etc.   Since the early '80's, I've been collecting the Byers Carolers just for our family starting with Mark and me....then our 4 kids, followed by Brooke, Patrick and Annette.   As the grandchildren came along, they were added and this year with Luke and Blair, I had 2 more to buy!    14 of the family are packed tightly away, but these new little tykes get to stay out this year!

  And here they are...............

Luke and Blair

Hope you are enjoying all the December hustle and bustle!

We are watching Carrie Underwood in the "Sound of Music".....
