Monday - December 9

So much for thinking we "might" have a bit warmer week?  Not gonna happen as our forecast is for temps to be 15-20 degrees below normal all week!!!

We got an early start to the day leaving home at 7 and quick stop at McDonalds for breakfast-to-go.    First stop was at Bob and Linda's where we had the pleasure of seeing Miss Leia (our great niece), her Mommy, Jennifer and friend Marie.   Leia is a little girl "on the move" crawling everywhere, pulling herself up, etc.

Then to Dixon to see Mark's Mom - we had an early lunch and visit and his sister, Marilyn joined us at Town and Country.

Off to Rockford to see my Aunt Marian who is in rehab and dong well, just going to take awhile to recover from a hairline hip fracture.    This was a short visit as she was in therapy and we didn't want to disrupt.

Got some Starbucks for the trip home and nibbled on delicious cookies Linda sent back with us.  Windy today and snow blowing across the highway at times - more of the white stuff up north.

Stopped for gas and tah dah....it was $2.97 a gallon - when was the last time we saw that price???

Staying in tonight and working on Christmas cards...
