Tuesday - March 8

Happy to report that Lydia's surgery was successful and her doctor is pleased.    She will need chemo and/or radiation, so we pray her recovery and healing will go well and prayers
will definitely continue.

Mark and I said our good byes to Anne, Patrick, Liam and Connor...sure enjoyed our visit and stay with them - time went much too fast!
Today is picture day for these handsome lads!

We went to 8:00 mass, packed up our stuff and went to our storage unit to put things away and grab other things to take.   We are in Chicago now and will be flying to San Diego in the morning and then driving to El Centro to see our boy - 1st time since Thanksgiving!

We had a late lunch at Maria's (a local, popular Mexican restaurant near our hotel).    We "rolled out the door" and discovered that the Fashion Outlets were very close to us.    We have driven past these many times but never stopped.   WOW...very upscale outlet mall on 2 levels along I-294 which opened in the fall of 2013.  We mainly wanted some exercise, so we just walked and walked.   One level is very upscale and the other is more of the chains that we are familiar with. There are several levels of parking and really neat that each parking spot has a small light above the space that is either red or green, so you can see where the green (available) spots are well ahead of time!    Clever and 1st time we've ever seen that!

Tomorrow Grandma is having her procedure (ERCP) and will then have hospice.
God bless her....so thankful she is in no pain - sleeps most of the time
(just 10 days ago she was going strong).   Still in disbelief how fast this is happening.

Luke and Mommy visiting the Easter Bunny
Mommy and Luke (looking quite dapper)!

Pretty neat watching out of our 8th floor hotel room at all the planes lined up outside
 O'Hare coming in to land.

Today was 70 in Chicago - the warmest for this date since 2000.

We missed Philip by one night as he had an overnight near here last night!

California...here we come!!!
