The Cubbies are the World Series Champs

and what a way to win it!    Very exciting game last night although we went to bed as the rain started and the tarp was being pulled onto the field.   So exciting to wake up this morning and read that they had won and then all the details of the 10th inning!

I just know how excited my parents are and oh-so-many other long-time fans who are no longer with us (especially thinking of our friends and former neighbors, Ed and Angie).

We left Philip and Annette's at 8:00 (got to see Maeve before we left as she had just finished her bottle).    Picked Daisy up in West Palm Beach, hooked up to Toad and we were on our way to Jacksonville (6-hour trip).    Had some heavy rain when we started out, then sun and still more off and on rain showers.    We've seen so many RV's heading south the past few days!

Shortly after we arrived at the Hanna County Park, we could hear the roar of the jets, so we took off (walking) to Atlantic Beach and watched some of their maneuvers.   The Sea and Sky Spectacular show this weekend is about 5 miles away on Jacksonville Beach.

We met a nice couple from Austin, TX (Frank and Linda Thomas) and their 2 large labradoodles.    Had a nice visit with them as we watched the show.  They may stay over another day and go to the practice tomorrow.

Back to our campsite and started unloading Toad and getting clothes and stuff organized and put away.

We are tired tonight - Mark made pancakes.    Have not been to the store yet, but we can manage as we'll be on the beach next few days for the shows.

Grandma and Grandpa with Maeve last night

Liam and Connor with very generous check that Patrick is donating to the Home Sweet Home Mission from tips (Jury's Out band gigs and his piano shows) he has been collecting this year!
 WOW......
Sooo proud of him and what a great example for his boys knowing how far this $ will go towards helping those less fortunate.
