Saturday - November 21

Very hazy over the water when we woke up and couldn't see a thing, but then it cleared and another gorgeous day of 70.

After breakfast, we drove to Morganton for some errands (coffee fix at The Grind Café), gas and car wash and grocery pick up at Wal Mart.

I wrapped more gifts and listened to oldies.

On home and after lunch Mark and I went for a walk on one of our favorite trails and who should we run into, but Luke and friends Max and Miles (twins), Ivy (their sister) and Maeve along with Annette and Amy (the Moms).    We had a good visit and continued on our way.    So different crunching along in all the leaves compared to springtime.     Some new painted rocks, too.

Sat outside this afternoon and read - just delightful.     Miss Blair was playing (mixing up a concoction pumpkin seeds, water, etc.) for Jerry (cat).    She and her Mom had been to Charlotte for a birthday party late this morning.

Sweet Blair getting so grown up

Mark and I went to Philip and Annette's for burgers and on such a gorgeous evening, so fun to sit around the roaring bonfire and enjoy!    Drew arrived tonight and will be home till the end of January!

Annette has her trees (all 3) decorated and this is the biggie (12') - beautiful!

Anne, Liam, Connor and Davis come tomorrow!!!     Hurray!
