Friday - August 12

Mark got his hair cut by Gina at 9, brought back some coffees and we were on our way truckin' on down the road with Flo to Jackson Center (127 miles southwest) by 10:30.

We stopped in Beaverdam for lunch (McDonalds) - we were out in the middle of nowhere with little choice.

Got Flo dropped off with list of things to fix and we'll go back sometime after Davis leaves.

Stopped in Van Buren at the post office and back to Catrina at 4:45 and settled in - another spectacular day - 77.    We love the small town post offices - friendly clerks, no waiting in line, etc.

Cute little post office in Van Buren, Ohio (pop 410)
with of course, a very friendly lady waiting on me!

We walked this evening around the marina and checked out the construction site - slowly but surely, making progress!   But a long ways to go!

Not many boats here tonight and we are the only people!    Folks came, got on their boats and off to the islands for the weekend!

So sad and heartbreaking to hear about the son of Annette's friend, Emily.    Eian was killed in a car accident a few days ago .   He was only 17.   His sister (daughter of Emily and Rob) was Philip and Annette's flower girl in their wedding 17 years ago.
