Wednesday - June 7

Reading about the very poor air quality plus our phones and I-pads sending out alerts is certainly alarming (NYC is really bad - orange???).    Our weather forecast has been for sunshine past 2 days and today, but instead lots of haze.    Yikes!

We had breakfast and then off to Fremont and rode bikes in a new section for us but so awesome.    We did 10.6 miles and then to lunch at the Down Thyme Cafe - cute little coffee shop serving salads, sandwiches, smoothies, etc.    We shared an apple/cranberry salad that was delicious!    We had coffee here last year.

We had an hour before Mark's eye appointment so we checked out the town of Clyde which the trail runs thru and another option to start and stop.   Off to Dr. DeRodes to have his eye checked.   It is 20% better and the infection is gone, but still swollen.    Dr. thinks maybe a mosquito got near the eye and venom got inside the eye???   It's a mystery!   He prescribed another eye drop and wants to see him on the 16th unless it is all cleared up?    Really strange....

Stopped at WalMart for the drops and few other things - the store in Fremont has to be one of the largest Wal Mart's we've ever seen - 3 huge sections and 18 self-checkouts.

Mark got the call today from Airstream that Flo is ready for pick up, so we'll be off to Jackson Center tomorrow.

Connor started his new job today - 8-4:30 at Redbird Apartments on ISU campus getting them ready for next batch of students to arrive in August.    And Liam chose his classes (16 hours) for 1st semester of freshman year at Iowa.

We had leftovers tonight and sat on Catrina's bridge - sooo nice out.    Always good to get the fridge cleaned out!   Walked around the marina a few times and called it a day!

These are the 8 remaining cylinders to go in the water (40') - worked on 1st one today
