Wednesday - August 17

Happy 4 weeks, Maeve!

Rained early this morning and then hot 'n sunny - typical August day in Florida

 

Philip was off to an all-day meeting at 9; Annette and Luke went to a doctor appt. for her - all is good!   Mark and Luke helped load Toad with lots of clothes and other stuff.    Philip packed his things last night for NC.   The guys are leaving early tomorrow for NC, spend a few days and then Mark is onto Annapolis to "light a fire" under the mechanics!    I'm staying with Annette till Catrina is ready (whenever that may be)???

Philip got home at 7.....Annette made some great spaghetti and salad.   Played euchre and Philip
 and I beat Mark and Annette 2 out of 3!


 

 

 

Tuesday - August 16

Mark exercised and left at 8ish for Indiantown to take stuff to Daisy and check on a few things!    Philip worked in the morning and then Annette met him for lunch and a movie.

 

Grandpa and I held down the fort with all 4 of us taking a nap!   Had a quick deluge later this afternoon and then abundant sunshine and steamy temps!

Tah dah...7th inning stretch time!!!

 

Philip and Annette came home for a bit and then left to meet friends for dinner!

 

Grandpa helped with the baths and then Luke decided he wanted to sleep on a yoga mat with his pillows, I-pad and drink on the kitchen floor!!!

 

 Where oh where will he sleep tonight?

Daddy made a nice tent in his room, so?    Lots of choices!

Monday - August 15

Busy day here in Lake Worth......Maeve slept 8 hours last night 8-4 and then another 5-hour stretch!    She broke her previous 7-hour record!    Grandma and Mommy were very happy!

 

I'm such a happy girl in the morning after my bottle.    I love lying on my changing table or in my big-girl crib and after being swaddled all night, really exercise my arms and legs.

 

Grandpa and I took Luke to Target and Toys R Us this morning....also picked up Toad who has been at the Honda dealer since last Thursday night.  It's been making a funny noise when you start up after sitting a while.    Of course, it didn't do that for the mechanic on Friday morning.   They asked if they could just keep Toad thru the weekend.   "Sure".....well, today again, nothing!    So we have Toad back with us and we'll see what happens!!!    Arghhhh!

 

There are times when this household is nice 'n quiet (naps for all) and then, a busy 3-year old running around like a crazy man, Maeve screaming, etc.   But tonight, Luke asked if we could take a picture.   We all hopped on that and here's the result?

Annette and I made breakfast for supper.....waffles and sausage and then later, enjoyed fruit pizza!

Feel so bad for Allie who fell when we were in Seattle - today she found out that she has a slight fracture in her hand and now wearing a hand/wrist band.  She'll go back in 10 days for another x-ray.

 

Tonight we were playing euchre and thought Maeve was sound asleep;   she woke very upset and screaming; I picked her up and immediately this look!

 

Mark and I won 2 out of 3games!!!    Tah dah!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday - August 14

Rainy start to this Sunday...Philip was off to work a bit later (8 instead of 6 am) spending a little time with Maeve before he left.    I went to 9:30 Mass at St. Therese.    Annette and Luke were off to a birthday party at 11:00 for his friend, Caroline.

Rained in the afternoon - one of those quick FL showers...mostly cloudy all day.   Did some laundry and just a pretty quiet Sunday.    Annette made chicken enchiladas for supper - delish!!!

 

Bath time, euchre (the kids won 2 out of 3 (last  2 games came down to a 9-9 tie breaker!)

Saturday - August 13

Bright and sunny day and the heat is back stronger than ever...Mark and Luke ran some errands and Annette and I took care of household tasks and Maeve!   Philip was at work

 

We all took naps (can't beat a good nap to get caught up on sleep).   Mark went to 4:30 mass at St. Therese de Lisieux.  

 

Good morning all.....my happiest time of the day!

Other than 1 week ago in Seattle ironing Mark's shirt before our big Blue Angel dinner, I have not done that task in a long while!    Got back in the groove today ironing 8 shirts for Philip!

We had a bunch of good leftovers tonight - so good the 2nd time around!    Played euchre for first time since we've been here - Mark and I beat the kids 2 games!

Liam and the Saints won their game 11-1 today!!!!    They are off to a great start!   Yeah Saints!!!
