Saturday - October 11

Mark earned and deserves many attaboy points today.......he took me to Nashville, IN (Brown County's premier shopping and thee place to go in the fall)!    It was wonderful.    We left our campground at 8:15 and first stop was The Daily Grind where we had a super breakfast and just a really cute place with very few people.    Mark walked back to Daisy (got her parked in the Junior High parking lot - another benefit of getting there early) and I hit the shops.    Most opened at 9 and just had so much fun going in and out of these lovely old homes or buildings now turned into great gift shops.     Around 10-10:30.....whoaaaa, the crowds came on fast and furious.    Long lines out the door of The Daily Grind and busy, busy shops.    But, I did my part for the economy and had a ball.    Put a little dent in the Christmas shopping.

Mark was a "happy camper" cause he could stay on Daisy with his I-pad, fridge, microwave, bathroom, etc., all right there - home away from home!!!    We drove thru more country and enjoyed the pretty trees.    It was chilly - no sun (not like they promised)!    And another phenomenal lunch in Greencastle, IN (home of DePauw University) - "Almost Home" was a big-time winner downtown with the old brick walls, tin ceilings and sooo charming.    Lunch was excellent, but the dessert was over-the-top and I have declared it one of the best ever in my book!      They called it turtle pie, but never had anything quite like it!     Should've taken a picture as this was indeed worthy!    If your travels take you to or thru Greencastle, this is a "must stop" for eating!!!

By the way, Mark gets all the credit for choosing this dessert from a great selection!
He shared (probably more than he wanted to)!  Ha....

So, now with full, happy tummies, we are truckin' on home!

Stopped in Champaign at Meijer's for a few groceries (nice to have Daisy's fridge) and home at 6:30 (and nice again to gain that extra hour back).

Home Sweet Home....nothin' quite like it!    What a fun week-long getaway starting with the wedding in Chicago, then to Charlotte, Lake James, Asheville, Newton, overnights in TN and IN + today in Brown County!    Plus all the great eating....

Life is GOOD!!!
