Sunday - October 12

Dreary, chilly day....went to 8:00 Mass and then to Bob Evans for breakfast.    Stopped at Menards for some soup....yup, soup at Menards is good stuff!    The brand is Shore Lunch.   Just throw in the crockpot, add water and other things (if you desire) and enjoy.   Lots of varieties and only $3.25 per pkg.   This is definitely soup weather.

At 2:00 we went to the library for a book signing and presentation on
"Victura - The Kennedys, a Sailboat, and the Sea".   Our boating group sponsored this event and Jim Graham, the author was the featured speaker.    We had over 50 people there - great crowd, Jim did a wonderful job promoting his book and got many sales.
Mark and I read the book - enjoyed it very much!   Jim's in-laws, Earl and Rhea are friends of ours.

Nice surprise that another gal and I were given 25 year pins as members of the Mid Illini Sail and Power Squadron!   Gosh...where do the years go?

It was raining when we came out of library around 3:30.    We left with Carol and Roger and had late lunch at Destihl - always good.    Still raining - heavy drizzle coming at a slant - not fun!    Good night to be home.

Anne and Patrick brought the boys over for a sleepover.   Tomorrow is Columbus Day and we plan a little jaunt to Peoria for some fun with these guys!   80% chance of rain, so Plan A (Wildlife Prairie Park) may become Plan B (Bass Pro Shop for shopping, bowling, and lunch).
