Friday - April 7

The winds blew strong during the night and continued for most of today - had some gusts at 51 mph.   The weather across the nation has wrecked havoc with tornadoes, heavy snow and lots of wind!
Bummer that the school kids didn't get to go on the Crystal Coast Lady again today1

Mark made pancakes this morning and then we got our 4 loads of laundry on a cart and off to the laundromat about 2 blocks away.   Most marinas have only 1 washer and dryer, so since this had several machines, we got it all done!

We had a late lunch at Clawson's and brought back some seafood bisque for later.    Great food here.
We both had crab cake salads - delish!!!

Mark got things ready in preparation for our departure tomorrow morning.   Starting to pack up some stuff for when we leave Catrina next week for 6 weeks!   I made a batch of bar-b-que (will be good to have a hot sandwich as we're traveling).    Maybe soup, too?    Going to be 44 in the morning!

We have sure enjoyed our time here in Beaufort - memories from being here in June, 2015 were not so good as it was extremely hot and we were having troubles with Catrina's engines.   So instead of continuing on south, we turned around and back to Annapolis to see what the heck was going on.    And then the long time away from Catrina......but she's working good and this little time off the water was much cooler and windier - ha!!!    We helped the economy with some shopping (my department) and good eating (both of us)!

Happy to get that 1st tooth thru

Beautiful sunset but sky was actually more pinks and reds than the oranges shown here.

Around 7:00, the winds finally died down to 12 mph and we took one more stroll down Front Street.
This little town could definitely be on our list of "possibilities" to call "home" someday...

Enjoy your weekend!
