HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNETTE
Annette and her 2 sweet babies
What a dear "daughter" she is and such a great Mommy to Luke and Maeve.
Gorgeous sunrise
We left the Alligator River Marina at 7 AM with sunny skies and no wind! It was a perfect day on the glass-like water!
We cruised 84 miles and arrived in Norfolk at 2:00. All settled on the Elizabeth River at Waterside Marina downtown. Lots of construction going on....years ago when we first came here, it was such a happening place, but past few times, such a change with so many restaurants and shops closed. So, they are doing a major remodel and on May 4th, the grand opening of many restaurants....no shops! Lots of workers there today on a Sunday, but looks like they have a ways to go before it's finished!
It is a spectacular day and what a difference from when Mark was here on Ryan's boat in January (8" of snow and ice and 19 degrees)!
We took Uber to 5:00 Mass at Christ the King Church - Palm Sunday. Our friend, Katherine picked us up and then we saw her condo and went to the Town Center and had a wonderful dinner and great visit at Tupelo Honey Café!
Katherine
Tomorrow we are off to Deltaville - last day of cruising for
6 weeks!
