Saturday - April 8

 LUKE is TEN!

Ten years ago today (April 8, 2013) we welcomed our 6th grandson, Luke David.    Mark and I were there for his birth in Wellington, FL.    What a joy he's been - smart, cute, funny, inquisitive and loves to experiment and build things - current project is helping Daddy with new desks for he and Maeve!    We'll celebrate this big milestone birthday when we're together in NC.

The Birthday Boy

Good night's sleep on Flo and Miss Blair slept in till 8:30.    Michael came over and we were off to Buckingham Farms for delicious breakfasts and Blair got to see "Booger" the tortoise, but he was mostly hiding in his big hole out of the warm sun.

Ready to dig into her delicious Belgium waffle + bacon  (shared with Grandma)

Then we went for a ride to Babcock Ranch and showed Michael this thriving community northeast of Fort Myers.   Michael was impressed with all the homes, infrastructure, schools, golf course, etc.    Back home to Flo.

Grandpa and Blair stayed home and Michael and I left for Naples (this is Michael's 1st trip to SWFL)    We drove around, saw Brooke's cousin's new home, shopped at Tommy Bahama and on home.

Pretty area of 3rd Street, Naples

Another HOT one today but mostly cloudy.    Michael watched the Masters and later we (Michael, Blair and I) went downtown to show him around (Grandpa was not feeling well)?   We drove around and showed him various areas (hurricane damage, marinas with mangled boats, etc.).  We parked and went upstairs to the 12th floor of the Luminary Hotel.    Beautiful views, good drinks and just a gorgeous day to be outdoors.

Dinner at Connor's - sooo delicious as always.    Took Michael to the hotel and on home....big day and we are ready for dreamland!
