March 2

Woke up EARLY this morning at 4 AM to our weather radio giving the warning about severe weather north of here (Anna Maria Island).    We did get some rain and wind.   Then the sun came out briefly and our friend and host for the day, Ron came to pick us up and off to party.

Ron and Pat entertained the Mid Illini boating group at their clubhouse in Longboat Key for our 3rd annual reunion   We've all been friends for many years and enjoyed so many fun family boating adventures when our kids were growing up.    After a delicious lunch (Pat is the most wonderful cook and we've experienced her great fare over the years), we all walked to their condo and then to the gulf which was wild today from the strong winds.

Sure appreciate their generous offer

After all the good-bye hugs (with a promise to continue this reunion tradition next year), we rode back to Catrina with Fred and Jeanne.
Our host and hostess joined us for a drink on Catrina later in the afternoon.
Thank you Ron and Pat for a WONDERFUL day of friendship and delicious food!
