Sunday - August 10

Somehow....forgot to post this Sunday night....here goes!

Our day started out very early when that ole alarm went off at 4 AM.....we were up and off to Baltimore for our 7:45 flight (stand by).   Unfortunately, so were lots of other folks and long story short, no seats for the nomads.    And rest of the day, all flights from Baltimore to Chicago were full!    SO.....bus took us back to long-term parking, got in the truck and we are driving home
 (785 miles).

Originally we had planned to fly tomorrow, but loads looked really full, so decided to go today, especially when last night, showed 30 seats available?    Not sure where all these people came from, but oh well......we have been so lucky (and thankful) many times when stand by does work, so it was just our turn for a glitch I guess.

Nice day for travel weather wise - just a few quick showers, otherwise, sunny!

We stopped for a late morning snack and so surprised that Morgantown, WV had a Tim Horton's - our favorite donut, coffee, sandwich shop from Canada - gradually coming to the states and heading south - yeah!   Ahhh, the little things that make us happy!

I drove two stretches today - first in western Maryland into West Virginia - wow so many curvy, winding, hilly roads but spectacular scenery thru the mountains.  And then thru the Midwest (Indiana and Illinois) -such a difference (maybe not the scenery, but much gentler on the nerves with these flatlands!)

Home Sweet Home at 8:02 PM......long day of travel, but all worth it!   Mark mentioned we have been on and slept in all 3 of our homes within a week!
