Tuesday - August 5

Hello again.....we are back on the road heading to Oxford, MD and a few days with Catrina before we go home to see the Blue Angels in Chicago and then a niece's wedding.    This morning we said our good-byes and "big" thanks to Michael and Brooke for a wonderful family week of fun at
Lake James.

We took Anne and the boys to Charlotte airport and then 500 miles to our floating "home".

So few times our grandchildren are all together, but so fun watching them with each other and they were all good with Luke and Blair.

For the most part, had great weather....last Friday was unique, though - here it was August 1st and we all went to Camp Lake James.    We were wearing jackets or sweatshirts, drinking hot apple cider, hot chocolate and coffee in front of a nice roaring fire playing 6-handed euchre!!!     Sunday was a perfect summer day.....unfortunately, Philip, Annette and Luke had to leave that morning for home.    After church, we had fun at the Camp, then more water activities at lake house and ended the day with a leisurely pontoon ride to Bear Creek Marina for supper.

Here are some pics from the past few days....

Celebrated Drew's confirmation last night at St. Aloysius.
Auntie Anne was his sponsor
Can't believe our oldest grandchild starts high school tomorrow!!!

Anne and boys arrived home late this afternoon and nice surprise waiting for the boys...

New clubs!   Yeah...

We arrived back on Catrina at 7:04 PM.....Mark turned on the air and we walked to
Schooner's for a favorite meal to share.....their wedge salad and crab cake sandwich are sooo yummy!    Both sooo good.    He had a glass of white wine and I enjoyed my specialty drink, an "orange crush" or as Schooner's calls theirs'....: a Schooner's Squeeze!

Long day of travel but happy to be back here!
