Monday - December 5

Cell phone alarms were beeping fast and furious at 3 AM this morning as we girls were up and going.    Said our good byes with the hope and promise to make this a tradition each year - we had such a good time and I certainly treasure these gals' friendships which for some of us, go back to 1972.    Big thanks to Sue for her warm hospitality and sharing her lovely FL home.   We missed Nadine, Linda and Donna.....

The girls flew out of Fort Myers and I drove to Punta Gorda, returned my rental car and then flew into Peoria where Mark was waiting for me.    So good to see him as we'd been apart for 1 week.
Came back to this.....along with the beauty of the snow, it's darn cold, windy and dreary.

First central IL snow this season

I settled into Eastland Suites with my stuff and later, we ran some errands and had delicious lunch at
Medici and got caught up on what's been happening this past week.    Mark had his yearly check-up this morning before picking me up - good report!!!

Brought back a bunch of stuff from storage including all the Christmas wrappings, wintry clothes, etc.    Had a nice fire, turned on the Christmas tunes and got at the lists of all there's to do in the next 10 days....scary!!!!

One day at a time....

Tonight we went to Connor's band/chorus Christmas concert.    He plays the trumpet in the 5th grade band and they did a fine job

Connor - our budding trumpeter
