Monday - July 29

Warm and sunny.......we had breakfast and then left for Clayton (about 75 miles) - this is a favorite town from last year on the St. Lawrence River and start of the 1000 Islands.

We had lunch at Bella's - another yummy meal overlooking the water and then while I browsed the shops, Mark parked himself in a comfy chair under the bandstand and watched the boats pass by.

There was so much flooding in this area in the spring and still bunches of sand bags protecting the businesses.    And yet, many areas where they now need the rain as things are really turning brittle and brown.

Back to Catrina at 3:30 - fun day!!!

And this was a new one....

No docktails tonight as around 5:15, the heavens opened up and got a nice shower!

After the rain, it was a beautiful evening - we went for a walk at 7 and met new neighbors, Cindy and ? from Newport News, VA.   More rain came at 8:45.
