Sunday - September 4

Rainy Sunday and in the forecast for the next 4 days!    Mark went to Coffee Express for coffees and a slice of their delicious farmer's quiche to share + fruit.

We heard from Mark's brother Tom that his mother-in-law (Beth's mom) passed away early this morning in Bend, OR.    Jean Hull was a delight and just celebrated her 95th birthday in June.    She sent thee nicest e-mails and we were really disappointed in 2020 when we were visiting Bend but couldn't get together cause of Covid.     Beth arrived in time to be with her Mom before she passed.

We went to Mass (livestream) with Father Jonathan at Immaculate Conception.    We will sure miss him till next June.

Anne and the boys are in the Ozarks this weekend visiting friends.    Today Liam and Connor are golfing at beautiful Payne Valley in Branson.

The golfers

Around 4:15, we both had the same thought.....ICE CREAM!    So off we went to Scooter's drive-thru and each of us got a flurry (Butterfinger for Mark and Snickers for me).    Back home and the rain started - a real dreary day!

Liam and Connor called this evening to tell us about their day at Payne Valley - what an awesome experience and they both shot a 79 (amazing with all those hills and 1st time to play that course)!

8 on zoom tonight and the highlight for us was seeing Maeve who was with Theresa!    School year off and running and the last year for Karen (Auntie); which family members have covid; waiting to hear funeral arrangements for Beth's Mother; who will be taking Marilyn for upcoming dr. appts (she's in our prayers), gas prices are really varying around the Midwest, etc., etc.
