Tuesday - October 6
Another pretty fall day....sunny, breezy and 73. Mark was up and going before 7:30 taking my car to Pontiac and then Heller Lincoln dealer. We had some questions about a few of these fancy features and could not find answer in manuel.
I walked around the campground in the morning . Mark returned at 11:45 and got all his questions answered, plus a computer module was bad and needs to be replaced for the parking assist. Part was not in stock so they'll replace in December.
We loaded up the car with laundry and off to town. Got that done, ran a few other errands and then Mark dropped me off to get a haircut with Morgan and he picked Liam and Connor up from school. Delivered them home and about 1 hour later, Brooke and Blair arrived from North Carolina So good to see them. Gibson was at the dog groomer's today - he's nice and clean and Blair enjoyed him.
We brought her back to Flo - she'll be with us the next 4 nights! Here she is with her big array of friends - Hello kitty, unicorns, Magic Sparkles, etc., etc., etc.
Sunday - October 4
What a treat to have sunshine today! We got 4/10"of a very nice gentle rain overnight. Only 55 but the sun feels so good. Went to Mass with Cardinal O'Malley in Boston. Worked on some computer projects and Mark read.
Anne was to be with Connor at ballgames in Lexington and we were going to pick Liam up from his games in LeRoy and take him to the hockey rink for try outs, but then Connor's games were cancelled (wet fields), so Anne took care of Liam. We went for a drive in the country this pretty fall day. Checked out the progress of the harvesting and stopped in Washington at The Blend (very nice coffee shop) for hot drinks, muffin and yogurt/fruit parfait.
Later this afternoon we went for a "brisk" walk around KK. We are to get down to 32 by morning! Burrrrr.........
Zoom with 9 siblings - missing Joan, Janet and Sue. Good conversation as always!
Saturday - October 3
Another cloudy, chilly start to the day....so bummed as this weekend our entire family was to be in Iowa City for football game and fun family time with Drew. We started talking about this and making plans last Christmas, but then sooo many plans have gone kaput cause of Covid.
So, we are hanging out on Flo and hunkered down with lots of rain in the forecast. Mark has gathered all the photos from both our computers and I-phones and now in one spot and easily accessible by month and year. And the best part is they are also by image recognition so anyone in our family or friends who I've taken several photos, will come up just by putting in their name. Amazing!!! We've enjoyed going thru soooooooooooo many (how about 80,000+) of these treasures and memories.
Update on the nomad ailments......Mark's back is better each day - thankful for no more spasms, but still really tender. Patience, patience, I guess. Eyes are good, but a few more floaters this go'round. My shoulder really hurts today - but that's usually the case with a change in the weather....pressure drop, front going thru, rainy, damp days....
Mark F and I beat Mark C and Nancy 2 of 3 games of euchre. Nice night of gentle rain falling.
Praying for our President and Melania....and all those affected by this horrible Covid-19.
Friday - October 2
Cloudy, cool day. We both were off to town separately. Mark got a haircut and other errands. I got a manicure and few other stops. We went thru Sonic Dive-In and ate in truck. On home.
Read, napped and just enjoyed a leisurely Friday afternoon. After supper we went for a short walk around the campground. The field of beans behind Flo was finished tonight - here he comes cutting a wide swath...
