Thursday - July 12

We are staying over another day here in Martinak Park - we were off in Toad around 9 this morning and stopped in Greenwood, DE for breakfast at Smith Family Restaurant.   Then we headed to Rehoboth Beach.....what a place!    Sun worshippers everywhere - as far as the eye could see with all their colored umbrellas.   And the streets were full of shoppers in this very touristy town......but there were also some really nice shops, eateries, etc.   While I walked Rehoboth Street, Mark got a haircut.   Had to buy a small bag of fresh salt water taffy!!!   The outskirts of town has several outlet malls - everything you could possibly want is in
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and no sales tax in this state.

Drove back to Daisy and stopped in Denton at Food Lion (the major grocer in these parts) for BLT makings.    Rode bikes around the park - nice paved roads and then enjoyed reading and doing computer stuff.

Went for a walk after our yummy BLT's and came upon the Choptank River with oodles and oodles of lily pads - so peaceful and calm this pretty evening

Heading to Philadelphia tomorrow....if anyone knows of something we "must see",  or places we "must eat at",  please pass 'em on!

Evening Pat: Glad you enjoyed Rehoboth Beach. Bob and I were there in May and there were not too many people milling about and nobody on the beach since the weather was still chilly. Loved the shops and got several items including some fudge and popcorn. Can't pass up the fudge for me and Bob loves popcorn. Guess the Newton Chamberlain boys get it naturally. Have fun in Philly and you will have to tell me what you find interesting since I have never been there. Just passing through several times. Judy
