Hope you all had a great holiday - we sure did and winding down today after 5 big days on the water - THEE place to beat the heat. Besides Lake James with family and friends, Mark and I took the boys on an overnight jaunt with Daisy to Steele Creek on Monday - what fun with mini golf, water slide, lazy river, roasting hot dogs over the bonfire and s'mores.
Our FL and IL kids/kiddies have returned home and Mark and I will stay at Michael's till Saturday
and then head east.
Nice to have a "down" day and mostly stayed indoors - tidied up the house and Daisy, did laundry, ran errands with Brooke, and Mark and Michael did some jobs around the house.
So fun to have the cousins reunited - they had a ball together and so neat for us to enjoy them

Had a major downpour and hail this afternoon around 3 followed by sunshine and steamy temps! Went to DaVinci's for delicious Italian dinner and then home for euchre which Michael and I soundly beat Mark and Brooke.

Pat: Guess great minds think alike. Bob and I went to a new Italian restaurant in Morganton. We had been there only one other time when they first opened so did not really know what to expect the second time around. It was very good the first time and also tonight the same. Of course, we kept comparing it to DaVinci's which we both love. Our DaVinci's in Morganton closed a couple of years ago and we have not eaten at the one in Hickory lately. It is just out of the way when we are there. Have a safe trip out East and take in all the wonderful sites you visit. Judy
