We left River Trail Crossing at 8:30 and took mainly rural roads thru very scenic Ohio.....we only had 100 miles today, so.....pretty homesteads with lots of red barns and then an area where all the barns were white? Passed many Amish farms and saw some children walking to school. Definitely back in corn and bean field country. The crops are still really green.
We stopped in Mount Gilead at a neat very old building housing "Sames and Cook" coffee shop. It was a 3-story hardware store back in the late 50's-early 60's and been home to other businesses till the coffee shop came about 7 years ago. Fortunately, they kept the charm of the building with brick walls, wood floors, etc.
Arrived in Jackson Center and got Flo settled in one of the spots reserved for Airstreams here for service with electric and water. Had lunch and I did some packing.
Late this afternoon we drove to Lima (30 miles) and picked up my rental car for tomorrow's trip to Bloomington. Mark will join me with Flo and Big Red soon as the warranty work is finished.
Airstreams are everywhere here at their headquarters and factory......new ones, those here for warranty work like Flo, those needing things fixed, some were in accidents and here for repair and some are very old and going to be totally refurbished.
