Friday - June 16

A very gloomy dreary cool windy morning - another 2.5" of rain last night (in 20 minutes) during all the tornado warning excitement.   Forgot to mention that the sirens were going off, too.

We were off to Fremont for breakfast at Whitey's Diner (good and a better choice than Billy's + it was nice 'n warm inside)!   We ran a few errands and then to see Dr. DeRodes for the 4th time.    Mark had said this morning that his eye felt better and Dr. was happy with how it looks.    So, he's to continue with the ointment for 5 more days and that should be it!!!   We wished the doctor a good vacation and we were outta there!

Drove thru the country wanting to find the North Coast Inland Trail for a new start/finish (this trail is 60 miles long).    Instead we drove thru lots of areas with downed trees and power lines, roads closed, etc.    With no sunshine and only 64, decided not a good day for riding bikes.   Even the Ohio Turnpike (80/90) has been closed (west-bound lanes) cause of downed power lines and other debris.    Sure feel for the folks in Perryton, TX

On home and hoping for some sunshine and warm up a bit?    The sun "kinda" came out around 5:30 but hazy.   Winds are still a'blowing.   We went for a short walk.

Enjoy your weekend
