 FLAG   DAY   2023

Proudly flying Old Glory on Catrina

We left about 7:20 for Fremont as Mark saw on the hospital's website the lab opens at 6:30.    We got there at 8 and already so many people waiting to be checked in.    Since Mark wasn't in their system (ProMedica Memorial Hospital), it took longer but then a quick drawing of 2 vials of blood and we were on our way.

Had breakfast at Billy's Diner downtown - got good reviews and food was fine, but freezing in there + very slow getting our food.   Only 1 waitress and 1 cook.    Oh well.....we were in no hurry and I drank 3 cups of hot tea to keep warm....

Back home for a few hours and then took the bikes and Big Red to RJ's for ice cream and onto East Harbor State Park for 10 miles of riding.    This place is crazy busy on the weekends, but really nice during the week.    There were lots of campers (you can stay for 2 weeks, leave and come back for another 2 weeks) and we rode thru all the cul de sacs, to the beach, etc.

Just before 5, Dr. DeRodes called to tell Mark that his blood work came back normal!    Very thankful and Dr. feels the ointment will heal the abrasion - we'll go back on Friday.

It was a beautiful day with sunny blue skies, 70 and very thankful for another 1/2" of rain overnight.    Nice evening for a walk in the marina.    We've got the bikes and headsets all charged up and ready for our next outing - hopefully Friday after the doctor appointment!

Liam and Gibson had a little getaway - past 2 days/nights they've been camping at Indiana Dunes State Park and today he went golfing in Valparaiso (Gibson stayed with a family thru Rover.com).    Liam shot an 81.  🏌
