Thursday - June 15

The day started off sunny but clouds rolled in later.    Temp was nice with a high of 76.

Mark cleaned fenders and readjusted the dock to Catrina set up.    I cleaned all the latches on the port hole windows and some other cleaning jobs.

Mark grilled Italian sausage for lunch.   I walked downtown to the post office to get some stamps (rates are going up to .66 on July 9th)    So, I stocked up and even got Christmas stamps.

Then across the street to Coffee Express - been wanting to try their chicken salad which we've heard is sooo good, but always out of it when we're wanting lunch.    They had made a fresh batch this morning but only had 1/2# left - "I'LL TAKE IT"!!!!!!

Tonight we decided on Rosie's for dinner downtown.   Should we walk or drive?   I wanted to walk and take an umbrella as there was some threatening weather.   Mark said we should drive....so we did that and after coming out of the restaurant, so glad we did drive.    Thunder, lightning and sprinkles - skies and radar are looking ominous.   Enjoyed our dinners very much!

And then.................barely 10 minutes after we got home, all the alerts went off that we were under a tornado warning till 7:15.    We jumped in the car and drove to storage (it's raining) and got in Big Red inside building where Flo is stored.    You could hear the pounding rain on the metal roof and very strong winds, but couldn't see anything (no windows).    Then they extended the warning to 7:45.    But at 7:30, the rain had stopped and so we came back to Catrina - then another heavy rain came thru with thunder and lightning - and then, the sun came out!    WEIRD   WEIRD!    But water is standing everywhere!   Our friend Brenda in New Philadelphia, OH texted that she had just turned on the news and saw that a tornado was headed to Port Clinton.    Very nice of her to check on us!

Quite an exciting end to this otherwise calm day!!!
