I am on a real high with the smell of jasmine in the air here in Charleston.....what an intoxicating, heavenly fragrance

We left Beaufort at 8 this morning and traveled 65 miles to beautiful Charleston.    We are at the Harborage at Ashley Marina.    After settling in, we walked downtown (2 miles) past the lovely homes with the side porches....just so in awe of this wonderful architecture.

We strolled around King Street, I got a haircut and then to the Pavilion Grille for drinks (Pavilion Punch and a Guinness) on their rooftop - very windy, but pleasant as it was HOT here today.

Walked around some more and then had a wonderful dinner at Poogan's Porch - good comfort food....crab cakes, buttermilk fried chicken, etc., etc.    All excellent and topped off with
 Chocolate Pecan Bourbon Pie!

Good thing we had a long walk back to Catrina as we are stuffed!

My Captain is ready for a day off as we've been cruising 7 straight days, so tomorrow he and his first mate are very much looking forward to a "down" day here in Charleston!

Our 5 oldest grandsons are officially out of school and ready for a fun summer.....this fall they will be in 2nd (Brady and Connor); 3rd (Liam); 6th (Davis) and 8th (Drew)

Hope you all have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.....enjoy!
