These IL folks are very happy to see the sun shine today - 1st time in a week! We dumped out 4" of rain from the past few days.....very wet and more coming!!!
Its good to be home, but what a trip last night. Shortly after we left on the bus at 7, the skies looked so dark and ominous. We were checking the radar on our phones and oh my....not good. Once it started raining, it just kept coming down harder and harder. And the lightning was very intense. Kept thinking our driver would pull over as so many trucks and cars did, but we just kept on truckin' ! Very happy to finally run out of the heavy stuff - but at least 1 hour of a torrential

Did some laundry and yard work today.....unpacked the suitcases and now packing again for our weekend trip to Chicago and Rockford. It's crazy.......didn't go to the grocery store today as we aren't going to be here much and can get by. Ready for life to S L O W down, but not gonna happen for the next few weeks!!!
I had lunch with Exchange Club today and then Mark and I had a nice burger (him) and mini tenderloin (me) sandwiches in the beer garden of Schooners.
