Sunday - July 7

Hate to mention the weather AGAIN, but we woke up to rain!    Most of the day was sunny and warm and later, lots of dark skies, BUT....it went around us and we didn't get another drop.    Have enough to last awhile despite the weather prediction for this week?    Oh well....it is what it is!

Drew and friends arrived in Rome safely and today had the thrill of being in St. Peter's Square for the Papal blessing by Pope Francis.

Grandpa fixed pancakes and bacon and the guys did their thing on the dock with the boats.    Michael fixed some good turkey/cheese sandwiches and we all went for a long pontoon ride - so pleasant, but amazed to see so many docks and steps partially or mostly submerged cause of all the rain.

Brooke and Brady enjoying a Sunday afternoon on Lake James

Had tacos for supper and watched TV.....Michael went on home as he has early flight to Chicago tomorrow.    We are all sooo looking forward to Luke and family coming tomorrow afternoon.........

Thinking back to 4 years ago today when my Mom died.....we were in Denali, Alaska.     The years sure haven't lessened the heartache and loss....miss her so much!
