Saturday - August 29

No phone call.....but then office closed at noon today for the weekend, so.....have since heard about a couple who were tested at same time and got their results 36 hours apart and a family of 4 tested same time and got their results back 3 different times.    So, patience patience!!!

Nice sunny day and much cooler - feels good to open Flo's windows after all the heat from past few days.     We took a little trip into town this morning - Kim (NP) said as long as we were totally contactless, it was fine    Obviously no drive-thru for coffee, carry-out, etc.   Got our laundry from Anne and she had made us a loaf of zucchini bread which was still warm.    Delicious!   Also storage to put stuff away.    Quick trip and no contact with anyone!

Made a batch of BBQ and just enjoyed this pretty day.

Tonight we were to arrive at Lake James ------Bummer.    Brooke is helping Davis move into apartment this weekend in Raleigh.    But lots to be thankful for....Drew is 100%, I'm negative and hopefully,we'll hear same for Mark soon!

Mark had some outside jobs on Flo and truck to work on - I caught up on e-mails, read, and we both took a little power nap!

Blair did facetime this afternoon asking when we were coming (she thought tomorrow).....she cried when I said we couldn't come cause Drew had Covid and we had been with him last weekend, so we have to stay home.   She knew Drew had Covid but couldn't understand what that had to do with us?   She was really upset.....Grandma, too.

This afternoon, Mark was sitting in our bench kitchen area and when he tried getting out of the seat, his back started hurting big time - been resting and took ibuprofen.   Arghhh

We went for a walk later - that felt good on the back.    Hope this is a quick fix!   BBQ sandwiches and sliced tomatoes for supper.

Something I do not understand (and have a problem with) are that several restaurants have closed temporarily (2-3 days) when an employee tests positive.    So they shut down to do a deep cleaning, have all employees tested and reopen?    Why don't they have to quarantine for 14 days - they are dealing with the public???

Ahh, the memories from here at Kamp Komfort....in August, 2015, Brady came and spent a fun week with his cousins, Liam and Connor.    We took the train to Chicago, did the Children's Museum, Navy Pier, enjoyed State Farm Park pool and mini golf and of course, Busy Corner for pie.    The pool here at KK was a big hit and 5 years later, it's closed

Connor, Liam and Brady

And then September 9, 2015, Luke came to visit and loved riding this little horse which now sits sad and lonely here in the park
Giddy up Horsey

And today Annette told Maeve "Daddy will be home in a few minutes", so she hauled her little chair outside and patiently waited
