Sunday - August 23

Hot and humid today.....after breakfast we walked across the street and the plan was to hike on the Woodpecker Trail.    Nice 'n pretty in the woods, but we hadn't gone that far when up ahead, trees were blocking our path.   Arghhhh.....3 different places just like that and this became our "shortest" hike of the summer!   So,......came on back to Flo.   Good day for "indoor" activity!!!

Went to Mass with Father Adrian Milik in Boston this morning.   We drove into Iowa City - good to see the college kids (in droves) out walking around campus, eating on the blocked-off street or on sidewalks) and just about all wearing masks.    We picked up tenderloins from the Hamburg Inn (another Michael favorite from days past) and came on home - good stuff along with our sides of pasta and potato salad.

Got computer stuff caught up, read and took a little nap this afternoon.   It was in the 90's and more of that coming this week!

Family zoom with 10 of Mark's siblings - missing Nancy and Janet.

Tomorrow we are off to Kamp Komfort - the last hurrah of our trip that started 10 weeks ago today!
