Tuesday - August 4

Our last day in Idaho was actually spent in Wyoming,    We left Juniper Campground at 8:25 and headed to Jackson Hole.    What a gorgeous ride - I probably took more pics than any other recent day!

We passed gently rolling fields of wheat and hay and no farms or livestock for miles.    A challenge to drive tractors on this terrain.    Mountains in the distance....

It was about 73 miles and a big chunk of it was climbing higher and higher with gorgeous views on twisty, curvy roads.    Glad we didn't have Flo.   Highest elevation was 8400'

Lucky to find a parking spot on the square and then a nearby bakery/coffee cafe - "Persephone".    Mark had a ham/cheese croissant and I had a huckleberry/cream cheese croissant!!  Good stuff!     We walked around the town - people out and about but not crazy crowds.   Went into a few shops and bought some souvenirs.   I overhead a sales clerk talking on the phone (my favorite shop) saying business has been very good and surpassed last year.    She said they didn't know what to expect and so happy people are coming to Jackson Hole!     While most of the people worse masks, it amazes me those who don't....they are pulled down around their necks or not wearing properly (nose exposed and barely covering their mouth)???     I wanted to take 'em and shake 'em!!!!!!!

We were last here in 2009 before Alaska......Ryan and Michael skied here in 2019 and wish they could see it in the summertime with sooo many outdoor activities - biking, rafting, kayaking, ziplining, gondola rides, horseback riding, dirt/mountain biking and on and on.    A true adventure for the outdoor enthusiasts.

Here's just a bit of today's beauty....

Gently rolling farmland
These antler arches are on the 4 corners of the town square.

Slopes our boys would've skied down behind 4 Seasons in Teton Village

The Snake River

The common entrance to a ranch

Driggs, ID was only 8 miles out of  the way off our route back to Flo.....the daughter and son-in-law of friends came to Driggs several years ago to vacation, fell in love with this little town and named their first-born (girl) "Driggs" who is now 6 years old

Beautiful day for lunch on the patio at "Provisions" in Driggs
Pretty flowers in Driggs
 Meadow and Mountain
