Onward to Rehab - March 8

Pat slept in a bit, but mainly because she stayed awake to watch the Oscars.  I on the other hand turned in early.

Today was a good day.  We walked a number of times and did exercises dropping the arm after each meal. She gets very tired after being up and around but if feels good to her to stand and walk.

She has some vertigo.  They did a cat scan but all was negative. Doctor says this is not unusual after the body has been through trauma.

Decision was made to move her to the Rehab facility here at the hospital.  She got moved over there at 4:00 so the long therapy sessions will start tomorrow.  The sessions will include teaching her how to do things with one hand as well as physical therapy sessions on the arm and shoulder.

All in all a very good day.

Hey guys! Just love your blog. Hope you're starting to feel a little better Pat-just don't rush it. Try and participate with all your physical therapy-those guys are great. Don't forget to ask for NSAID/pain/muscle relaxants medications if you're allowed. Love your music too. How about the song, Reach, sung by Gloria Estefan at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta? She conquered her tradegy caused by a major accident. Take care and keep up with the update. Love, Jim and Lydia
