Thursday - September 4

Nice sunny day.....we left Oxford at 9 this morning and cruised 34 miles to Harness Creek off the South River and south of Annapolis.    Anchored out here near the dinghy dock and entrance to Quiet Waters Park.    They rent out paddle boats, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks.    We walked the paved trail thru the pretty woods with some very tall trees - 1 3/4 miles and came out to West Marine where we've been several times by car when we've been in this area.    Browsed around there and I checked out Tuesday Morning (didn't buy anything) and then went into Grump's Café, another favorite.....real funky place with brightly colored tables and chairs and paint splatters all over the floor.    Food is always good (breakfast/lunch/dinner).   We shared a warm chocolate chip cookie sundae with ice cream, chocolate, caramel and whip cream - deeelish!    Walked back on another trail - 6/10 of a mile further (we needed that after our snack).    Planning to walk back here in the morning for breakfast!

Our mid-afternoon snack!

It's a beautiful evening here in Harness Creek and there are 4 sailboats anchored nearby    Had dinner of salad, spaghetti with Italian sausage (Mark grilled), garlic toast and red wine!    Very good if I do say so myself - I can cook you see, just not too often!    Ha!!!
