Wednesday - August 26

Hello from beautiful, historic Galena......Day 2 was awesome starting with wonderful breakfast at the DeSoto House.    We shopped some and then took the 1-hour trolley ride around town.    The DeSoto House is the oldest hotel in Illinois.    And the Galena Post Office is the oldest continually-owned and operated post office in America....2 facts I was not aware of!

We stopped for iced coffees/diet coke/cookies and sat a bit and then off for more shopping.   Just a glorious day to be out and about!
