Thursday - October 22

Very pretty fall day with just a gentle breeze which was nice after 2 very windy days.   I went into town for the usual errands and last hurrah of lunch with Exchange Club.   Although we had disbanded a few weeks ago, we had paid for meals at Second Presbyterian Church (will miss this good food) thru today, so.....more reminiscing and a bit nostalgic.
What a great group whose friendship I dearly treasure!

Got back to Daisy around 1:30 and Mark said "Let's go for a ride in the country"!    Why not....it was spectacular and our first stop was at the White Oak Winery which is close by and a place we had wanted to check out sometime (our time at Kamp Komfort is winding down).    It's a nice little winery owned and operated by Rudy and Mary in a lovely setting.   We had a good visit while wine tasting and left with 3 bottles.    Then drove around the countryside - more and more trees are turning.   In fact when I was in town, I saw some glorious color on the IL Wesleyan campus!     We sure don't have that here at the campground - guess it's the type of trees?   I was a happy camper that I got my fall color fix in great abundance today!    Stopped at the Mercantile Mart in Congerville for a few Christmas gifts and then sat in the warm sunshine enjoying cookies and coffee.

Sorted thru a bunch of clothes - summery things for FL, but first, a tad heavier for NC and so we had bins here and there, but pretty well organized before we leave next week.

Ryan and team arrived in Jacksonville early this evening.    Philip and crew are anchored out east of Fort Walton Beach......tomorrow, on "home" to Pensacola!

I probably won't be updating the blog till Sunday as there's no internet service at Hickory Hills where we'll be camping this weekend with "Elsie"and crew (Anne, Patrick, Liam and Connor).
Can't wait....

I have 7:30 therapy in the morning, then we'll get Miss Daisy ready and off we go in
early afternoon!

Have a great weekend!
