Wednesday - October 10

Oh Michael.......what are you doing to the beautiful Emerald Coast and from there on?    Georgia and the Carolinas???  Thinking of and praying for all those in harm's way..... 

Foggy start to the day, but cleared around 9 and we left at 9:20.    Sun came out and it was an ok drive for awhile...then the rain started and it's been coming ever since - heavy at times and to continue thru tomorrow.     We plan to stay here till Friday and then around 165 miles to Lake James.

Stopped in Salem, VA for lunch at Chick-fil-A and arrived at the Pioneer Village Campground in Max Meadows, VA (population:  563)   We were here with Daisy and this past spring, with Flo.

At 6:15, the weather alerts went off on our phones - flash flood warning till 12:30 AM.    Heavy rain continues...
