Wednesday - October 3

Sooo disappointed there was no sun today as it had been in the forecast earlier.....just a gloomy, damp, grey, chilly day!    We split my leftover omelet from Arties yesterday (Mark thought it was very good, too) and some of our pastries.     Off to Clayton to do laundry.     I had wanted to check out a few shops, but many were closed and are on limited hours as the season winds down.    When we were here in August on Catrina....such a bustling, fun little town but today it was very quiet and forlorn looking out over the water (St. Lawrence River).

We sat by a nice fire at the Lyric Coffee House and I enjoyed a maple/hazelnut latte (new fall flavor from Canada that was excellent).    Mark had a coffee and we read our books.

Great coffee place in Clayton

Later we had lunch at Bella's and this was a happening place - ate here in August, too.....very good and Mark chose a warm apple/berry pie with ice cream and whip cream served in a jar for dessert.    I enjoyed a few bites too....very good!
Pie in a jar!!!

Back to Flo, put the laundry away, read, napped and then off to Price Chopper for some groceries.    Went for a walk and met a nice couple from Charlotte who winter near Tampa.    Had a nice visit as they sat around a nice campfire this chilly night!

Curls, curls, so many curls
Two little sweeties - love them AND the fall color in NC
