Saturday - June 5

Hot, sunny 'n breezy but very pleasant when we took off at 7:20 for breakfast (so much daylight up here - sunset isn't till 8:41 and sunrise is 5:25).

The Brewerton Diner has been one of our favorites for breakfast or lunch - that was our choice for some hearty fare to start the day; however, when we walked in, totally surprised by all the changes but also, new owners and new name (haven't changed the signs yet).     It is now the Brewer Union Cafe and totally different menu.    The couple (he's in the kitchen and she's waitress) are into a lot of different food items and for the first time, I tried the quinoa pancakes which were delicious (but $14)?   Mark had the hash and very good.    The previous owner, Mike has now opened up Bear Creek down the road for lunch/dinner.

Stopped at Flo's to pick up a few more things and on back to boat and start Day 5 of settling in...I cleaned the floors and then we put down our new carpeting (main salon) and runners in the cabins, entry way and hallway.    Looks good and so happy to finally have this job complete as it was started back in 2019.

Mark has several projects (there are ALWAYS boat projects)  and some take longer than others, but he keeps plugging away,    So even though this is the 5th day we've been dealing with our stuff, we do take breaks and taking it little by little and bit by bit!  By Tuesday (our departure day), we will be rarin' to go!

I washed Catrina in the afternoon and Mark worked on sorting thru stuff indoors - he needed to sit and give his back a rest.    With the nice breeze and sunshine, didn't take long till Catrina was all clean 'n dry!

Our next-door neighbors, Paul and Janet from Seattle have been working on boat projects, too.....after 18 months of no boating, everyone is anxious and happy to be back doing what we all love!

Boats that came in today are from NY (Sharon and Eric and Day 1 of starting the Great Loop); Fort Lauderdale and Toronto.

Had a good facetime chat with Anne, Liam, Connor and Gibson!    They are happy folks ready for summertime fun!
