Sunday - June 13

Lovely summer Sunday but a bit warmer than yesterday.    I hosed down Catrina and then made omelets and toast.   I walked around yet another charming neighborhood.    Meticulous landscaping, American flags flying, pretty flowers, etc.   LOVE these older homes.

We got Catrina ready and around 11, John, and kiddos arrived (Brian, Emma, Lucas, Evan, and Isaac).     We left Fairport and off for a 7-mile cruise to Pittsford.     John and Brian had taken a car there for those needing to get back to Fairport.

Captain Mark and Lucas

A delightful day on the water with many kayakers on the canal.

After tying up along the wall (many memories from 3 years ago when we were here with Drew and Sarah (girlfriend at the time).   Brian and Emma took Evan and Isaac home for naps.   John, Lucas, Mark and I went to the Village Coal Tower Restaurant (only serving breakfast till 2).    It was very good and then we walked to Pittsford Farm Dairy - awesome place with lots of ice cream, baked goods and gourmet foods.    Lucas and I had a dish of ice cream and walked back to Catrina.    Then we were off to Brian and Emma's in Fairport - such a fun afternoon with the 3 boys, lots of visiting, drinking wine (Emma and me) and having fun.     Emma said she would keep it a "Simple Sunday Supper"............however, she was cutting and dicing and chopping and working away in the kitchen and wow....Jeff came to do the grilling (burgers and Italian sausages).    And add to all that sweet corn, pasta salad, lettuce salad and topped off with brownie ice cream sundaes.    But before all that, good tortilla chips with various dippers

The cousins - always chatting away

The boys got their baths, good bye hugs and John brought us back to Catrina.   What a wonderful sweet family.   Big day and so much good eating.    So sorry we didn't get to see Cindy (John's wife and Grandma to the little guys) who is dealing with health issues.    Mark and I walked a little bit and then time for family zoom.

Ten of the siblings did Zoom and good news is that Sharon came home from the hospital this afternoon.    Nasty bout of pancreatitis but on the mend and so happy to be home!
