Tuesday - June 8

The rain started at 5 AM and continued (nice and gentle) till 9.     We decided not to travel today and my main goal was to get a haircut which was scheduled for 4 today in Baldwinsville.    Since we had the truck, we could drive there (15 miles) and I was able to change the appt to 1:30.    So we took off around 11, saw some of our favorite spots and I enjoyed browsing at Two Twisted Sisters (gift/clothing/jewelry) and then Mark joind me for lunch at Olives Eatery (been here before and wonderful food).    The shop and cafe are in same old house and we sat on the porch (covered) as it would occasionally drizzle.    Awesomely good lunch (chicken salad for me and tomato bisque and Mark had the tuna salad and homemade baked beans (all food is made from scratch)!    Shambella is a very good coffee shop  and Mike, the owner is always fun to visit with.    We thought we would stop in for a bit but he closes at noon most days!!!   Arghhhh.    Several businesses downtown had the "For Sale", "For Rent", or "For Lease" signs out.    Sad...    This is also the town 3 years ago that Dr. Susanne Shapiro (dentist) saved the day after I had a tooth issue (bit into a Butterfinger flurry and broke off part of my tooth)!

Mark stopped at Ace Hardware and then off to get my haircut with Renee at La Tresse was our next stop.    What a neat gal, good haircut and nice visit.    On back to Brewerton in the rain.    We decided it was time to take Big Red over to Winter Harbor and store.   Mark drove the loaner can and then one final stop at Arctic King for ice cream and on home.    When it's not sprinkling or drizzling, the sun comes out in little spurts and it is sooo humid.    More rain coming, but tomorrow promises to be sunny and 84.    The boaters are making their plans.

Moved Catrina to the gas dock tonight, did a pump out and Kim said we could stay there as we'll be taking off in the morning!    Sat and visited with our neighbors and fellow Loopers - so much to chat about - where we've been and where we hope to go...We had a few sprinkles and some thunder, but didn't chase us away from a delightful evening!
