Monday - April 18

Philip arrived home last night with my car (Little Navy) around 11:30.    Thankful he's back safe 'n sound and I've got my car back!

It was a very rainy night here at Lake James (1.3") and woke up to more rain and chilly temps in the 40's.   Burrrr....not used to this after all the heat of Florida.   Ha...

Annette picked up Blair and Grandma and along with Maeve, we were off to get some pampering in Morganton at Nails R Us.     Brooke met us there later.    She took Millie to the vet to have some surgery (so she won't have babies according to Blair).   Maeve and Blair got mani-pedi's and Grandma got a manicure.   I went into Bath 'n Body while the others went to Pet Smart to get some toys and treats for Millie as she's recovering.

Getting all pretty
Tah dah....all done!
Blair's colorful toes

Then we were off to The Town Tavern for lunch and met Judy (Gram).    This place is along the Catawba River and a pretty wooden walkway (part of the Greenway Trail).    Would've been fun to walk along this neat woodsy area, but not today - too cold for this Grandma.

Delicious steak dinner, baked potatoes, salad, roasted broccoli for dinner with wine and dark chocolate/blueberry candy.     Played euchre afterwards (3 and 4 handed)!

Ryan contemplating his next euchre move (3-handed) and cuddling Millie

We have strong winds and cold out there tonight.
