Thursday - April 7

Cloudy and windy, but warm.....we met Jim, Lydia, Mike and Theresa at Buckingham Farms for another grand breakfast.    I bought some chicken salad, Lydia got some raspberry jelly and we all checked out Booger, the big ole tortoise who was out roaming around and enjoying lettuce leaves.

On home.....while the siblings and spouses played some games at Jim's, Mark did some touch-up painting in the she shed.    Later Mark and I left for coffee only to find one of our favorites was no longer in business.....big shock!    The Grind was always a happening place, but now, paper covers the door and windows and sign said "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed".....hopefully, they'll be back!    So, we found another one "Chocolattes" and a good find!   Not been here before but will be back; although it's a long ways from Flo.   We were in this area of Fort Myers as I had an appointment to get my stitches out.    Nurse Ann said my caregiver did an excellent job with the bandaging!    Yeah....all looks good and after a few zip zips and steri strips put on, I was good to go.    Very pleased with my whole experience with Riverchase Dermatology!

Back home and walked to Jim and Lydia's for some 6-handed euchre with the guys (Mike, Jim and Mark) beating the gals (Lydia, Theresa and me).    Mike and Theresa left in Jim's car to go back to their hotel and we played 4-handed with the girls winning the 1st and the guys, the 2nd.    Then time to freshen up and get ready for dinner.    The heavens opened up at 5:15.....oh my.    Luckily by the time we picked up Jim and Lydia, it had pretty much stopped.

Met Mike and Theresa and we 6 had a fabulous meal at Connor's.    Love this place and of course, plenty of lively conversation at our round table with Jeff as excellent waiter.

On home in the rain after a quick stop at Costco.  Sure was a fun day with family, getting stitches out, euchre, and of course, very good eating!
