Wednesday - April 13

We got all the last-minute things stowed in Flo, she shed locked up and then we (in Big Red) were off to the European and American Bakery Cafe for breakfast before 9.    This place has it all....delicious breakfast and lunch + a fabulous bakery, all the coffees, etc.   Mark had a waffle and I had their homemade banana bread French toast....wow! This place is a favorite of Jim and Lydia's.    Been awhile since we had eaten here!   Also got some of that pricey diesel for Big Red.

French Toast made with banana bread - awesome!!!

I had an appointment with my primary physical, Dr. Freeman.    She mainly wanted to check my cholesterol which was great!    Always enjoy visiting with her and I'll be back in October.    Mark waited in Big Red and then on back to Cypress Trail where we hooked up Flo, wet the pavers good to avoid tire tracks, gave our good bye hugs to Martin and Rog (REALLY good bye as they won't be our neighbors when we return in October).  😢  But they promise we'll get together as they are definitely staying in the Fort Myers area.

At 12:15, we were pulling out of our lot and on our way.    Good trip with nice sunny weather.    Stopped in Okeechobee for lunch (ate our sandwiches in Big Red) and arrived at the Daytona Speedway RV Park around 5.    We settled in, unhooked Flo and Big Red and off to Bahama Breeze for adult beverages and their delicious avocado/crab stack.    Also got a carry out order of blackened Mahi tacos (yummy).

Our RV park is very close to the speedway
We have arrived!

We are tired campers, but tomorrow, back on the road again singin' with Willie.    Before we leave, we're bringing in breakfast and visiting with my Aunt Dee who lives in Daytona about 20 minutes from here.
