Thursday - April 14

Mostly cloudy all day but in the 80's.    We left the campground shortly before 8 and picked up some assorted pastries from Panera and then to my Aunt Dee's condo.    Since 1996 she has lived on the 21st floor overlooking the Atlantic.....beautiful!    Uncle Jack (Mom's brother) passed away in 2004.

We were last in Daytona Beach in March, 2021 (spent time with Anne and the boys who were nearby for spring break).    Aunt Dee will be 94 in August and she's amazing - very sharp and agile.    She "walks" in the pool daily and is quite the inspiration.    We had planned to pick her up and go out for breakfast somewhere, but then wondered if she could manage getting into Big Red.    She laughed and said "Oh, I could do it - I'm pretty agile you know".    That she is!    But it was fun sitting in her lovely condo with the magnificent views of the ocean and yakking away for 2+ hours.    Said our good byes (hoping we can have a cousins reunion in 2023)?

Aunt Dee - going strong at 93.

Back to the campground, hooked up Flo and we were on our way by 11:10.    More traffic today plus some nasty backups causing delays several times.    We had lunch on Flo and got diesel for Big Red in Kingsland, Georgia.

We arrived at the New Green Acres Campground in Walterboro, SC.....did not remember this place but when Mark checked in, the lady had us in the computer and after checking the blog, we were here April 11, 2014.    Love that blog!

Walked around for a while - we are tired campers but I really appreciate Mark doing all the driving and today, stressful at times.    Thankful I'm not driving as Philip will be returning my car on Sunday to NC.

Very tall pine trees here at the campground

246 miles to Lake James....
